The Renovation of the Pittosporum Tom Thumb

Before any hewing had taken place. This shows how huge it had got - the concrete pot is 18inch from base to rim.

A window has been hewn through it, to enlighten the new growth.

The remainder of the top growth has been chopped out - the renovated plant is showing signs of good recovery.

The plant is well and truly recovered, the new growth is evident.
There is a moral here - Pittisporums need to be kept trimmed from the beginning, it's a lot easier than taking two years to renovate them.
