This page has been written to illustrate the progress over a period of about 2 months of one of our Echium pininana.
The plants have self-seeded themselves for the last 4 years, and are now becoming invasive. They grow so quickly and lean towards the light that they shade many of the surrounding plants. Several have been relocated to a different part of the garden, where they cannot interfere so much with the surrounding plants.
